Donna Brennan Contemporary is a London based Contemporary Jewellery and Art studio offering Masterclasses to practitioners and professionals looking to further their knowledge and skills.
Set in a lovely 2 storey Victorian Cobbled Mews on the edge of central London, the Masterclasses will be offered by leading international practitioners in a spacious Jewellery Studio and Design Atelier in the atmospheric Iliffe Yard, Kennington.
Established by Donna Brennan, a Fine Art Jeweller with over 20 years experience as a practitioner, she has exhibited internationally in galleries and museums such as Saatchi Gallery, Gallery Marzee, Museum of Decorative Arts, Dresden, Kunstmuseum, Düsseldorf, and the Norton Museum, Florida, among others. Her work sits in the collections of the V & A Museum, London; Design Museum, The Netherlands; and the prestigious Alice & Louis Koch Collection, National Museum, Switzerland.
Initially trained in Fine Art, she furthered her affinity with the plastic arts by pursuing a BA in Jewellery and Sculpture at RMIT in Melbourne, Australia, graduating with Distinction in 1991. A D.A.A.D. scholarship followed in 1992 for Post-graduate studies in Jewellery in Germany. She graduated from the Royal College of Art with Distinction in Jewellery in 2010.
Iliffe Yard is a popular film set for period films such as “The Kings Speech” and “Allied!” Step back in time at the award winning ‘Elephant Cafe,’ also located at the entrance to the yard.
Masterclasses will be given by leading international practitioners in the field of expertise, allowing you to develop and build on the foundations of your practice which you have already established. At Donna Brennan Contemporary we are dedicated to life-long learning, and are here to help you achieve your goals and move your practice forward.
We also believe in community and the strength to be gained from coming together to share ideas. For the intensive block Masterclasses, nutritious lunches will be provided each day, as well as a lecture followed by dinner with wine one evening, lending a friendly and convivial atmosphere where new friendships and connections can be forged alongside mastering new ideas and techniques.
Please do get in touch if you have any queries about any of the courses we are running, or perhaps you have ideas for courses you would like to see offered. Places are limited on courses to 8 to 10 people, so early booking is advised to avoid being disappointed.
We look forward to welcoming you soon.
